The Association sponsors an annual convention for all ISMA members to gather for events ranging from educational sessions and guest speakers to discussion of issues and ISMA business. Hosted by a different local lodge each winter, activities also include business luncheons, theme dinners, and excursions around the convention city. The highlight of each convention is the impressive Grand Lodge Officer Induction Ceremony followed by the formal Ship Masters' Grand Ball. On February 12, 2012... Captain Seann O'Donoughue was inducted as our Grand Lodge President. Our next convention will be hosted by Grand Traverse Lodge No. 23 from Wednesday evening, February 6, thru Sunday Morning, February 10, 2013. At this convention, Rebecca Hancock, who is the current Grand Lodge First Vice President, will assume the office of Grand President. (The Navigation, Engineering, and Legislative Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 4:00 PM; followed by the delegate caucus at 7:00 PM).
